Dean Gardens is a neo-classical estate on the Chattahoochee River. The mansion itself is approximately 32,000 crafted sq. ft. The carriage house has twin 2-bedroom apartments, an office and laundry plus parking for a dozen cars. Other features of the property include the estate manager’s cottage, greens keeper’s cottage, conservatory, amphitheater, wedding chapel, and 18-hole par 72 golf course and much, much more. The former owner, Larry Dean, who made his fortune in software, spent $30 million on its construction, plus $1.5 million a year on its upkeep. The property was sold to Tyler Perry in 2010 for $7.6 million, down from its original asking price of $40 million.
