The Atlanta Braves at Turner Field with a view of the downtown Atlanta skyline.
The Atlanta Braves moved into their new home after reconfiguration of the Olympic stadium from the 1996 Olympic Games. Atlanta-Fulton County Stadium, the multipurpose stadium they had played in since 1966, was becoming obsolete. Opened on April 4, 1997, the new retro style stadium seated 50,096 fans. The stadium was named Turner Field after then Atlanta Braves owner Ted Turner.
